Hawaii Beach Safety strives to deliver the most accurate, timely information available to promote a positive beach experience. These warning products are provided for your informational purposes only.
A statement is issued to advise the community regarding events that are scheduled or can be reasonably predicted to happen that may affect beach or ocean usuage |

A watch is issued to allow time for preparation for a beach event |

An advisory is issued when events are occurring that are not a direct threat to life or property |

Warnings are issued when a beach event is occurring or imminent and action is needed to protect life and property |

In order to bring you more information, we changed added this section. Lifeguards will be posting near real-time dangers and information for Oahu's beaches starting April, 2008. Additional new services will become available at this location once they are available: http://www.hawaiibeachsafety.org/alerts/
